A Strength Design Approach to Ponding

This article proposes a strength design approach to ponding resistance. It derives methods to include camber, nonuniform loading, and end fixity. The intent is to expand on the existing American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) provisions so they may be adapted to unique framing and loading conditions.
