Abstract

This paper presents existing inelastic design procedures for steel girder bridges. Comparisons of the inelastic methods and the conventional methods are presented. This paper also discusses past and current analytical and experimental research for developing behavior models to extend inelastic design techniques for bridges comprising non-compact sections.
